In Sweden we have for tradition to dress up both for the end of the school year and the beginning of it. Even if Alva isn’t starting until next year and we live in France I still wanted to make her a special outfit for today when her older brothers are going back to school. I found this fabric last week and it feels so harvest time-ish and therefore September perfect! I’m all into prints like this or apples, books and other childish patterns.
I use the Geranium dress pattern from MadebyRae and it’s really simple to use, I’m on my fourth version of this pattern and it just goes easier and easier for each one you make.
You can make endless versions of this dress, I made the skirt length and width on free hand on this and added to the bodice with the faux cap sleeves and I’m using velcro as closing.
Alva thinks it’s a lot of fun to pose, I hope it will last! She didn’t let me take any close ups of the dress though so I can’t show you here.
Stopping for some ant observation as always.
Pose baba, pose!
