I have so many sewing projects on my list, either on paper, in my head or my pinterest board. Clothes for Alva, me, the boys. Things for the house, to play with and yeah, you get the thing, so many ideas but so little time. A classic by now. But some can be made and first out are some things for the kitchen:

Cloth napkins that I will embroider the kid’s name on. I have a red gingham fabric that will be perfect. I’ll do linen ones too. You can never have too many of these and my kids somehow loves to have their own napkin. I think it’s because when we’re up in the alps their granny always give them one, a colour each. Tutorial from Back Road Bloom.

Reusable coffee filters! It’s been on my list for a while and I finally got the fabric for it. We have a classic coffee machine and we use about 2-3 filters a day on weekends and with these ones we will reduce the waste. I do throw some on the compost but still. Free pattern here.

Fabric bowl covers are also a waste reducer, we don’t use plastic film or foil but put things in glass containers. But often it’s so much easier to just cover up food in what it’s served in, like pies, cakes and salads.
Is this something that inspires you to sew?
