Swedish easter twigs

Hi there and happy Easter to you all!

We’ve been decorating the house, making Easter twigs chickens and eggs. It’s a Swedish tradition I absolutely love and I grew up with those twigs filled with colorful feathers and hand painted eggs. You cut some budding twigs, put them in water and decorate with Easter fun! This year I bought transparents eggs to fill and the kids made a chicken each. Alva actually painted some eggs and the face of her chicken by herself, I’m ridiculously proud.

Not Alva’s.

Alva’s.

How can you not be proud over this masterpiece? :D

Today we ate many eggs, went on an Easter hunt in the garden and then had a traditional Swedish Easter dinner, quietly and simple, as we like it. Hope your day was as good…
