Hi friends! It’s been a crazy month here with school starts, new routines, baby progress and most of all – family time! My dad came to visit us, it’s been 5 years since last time and it was truly wonderful. He is the person I miss the most living here in France since we can’t talk often and it was amazing to spend a whole week together. I miss exploring nature with him, miss talking about everything in between the stars in the sky and the best way to make pasta sauce, miss not being able to ask about his opinion and most of all, I miss him missing out on my kids growing up.
But it was wonderful to have him here and I decided to make it possible for him to come and visit us more often if he can’t. Family is the most important and I want Viggo and Alva to grow up with grandpa Ulrik and create childhood memories. And I want to see my dad earlier than in five more years.
We went to the beach one day, we had crazy fine weather and my dad took some pictures of Alva and me. Then he built a sand lizard and the boys were going crazy over all the creativity he suggested to them. As when we played with wooden trains, my dad is so playful and they just wouldn’t stop asking him for more. We also went on walks and the day before he went back home we spent the day just him, me and Alva and we got to talk about my family back in Finland and all the lost ones. Complicated and personal stuff of course but nice to have it done.
So, you can imagine my latest weeks and the absolut lack of time to blog but I think I will stop apologizing about not blogging and just blog. Good with you? :)
